Our new site is now four months in the making and is almost ready to go live! The new site builds and improves upon our unique instant car shipping quote system, how can we improve the current one you ask? Well, we the new features include:
- VIN / Chassis Lookup – type a VIN number and we can automatically retrieve the make/model/year/dimensions and weight in order to speed up the quote process and to enhance the accuracy of your quote in terms of car shipping costs and IVA modification charges
- Improved vehicle database – we have added thousands of makes/models/model years to our database in order to accurately provide IVA/MOT costings, we will also be able to show you images of modifications needed and a breakdown of parts/labour costs to get your car through UK testing
- Quote Tailoring – Once you have obtained your instant quote from us you will then be able to tailor it to your needs, play around with upgrades, options etc and get the quote just right for you.
- Port Finder – not sure which is the closest port to ship from? Simply type the post code/zip code/address/town and our system will pinpoint the closest ShipMyCar port facility
- Expanded range of destinations – we will be able to provide further routes all over the world and still give you a full breakdown of all costs involved in the shipment required
- Car shipping comparison – many of our clients are looking at buying say a Mustang in the USA and shipping to the UK, they need to know the total cost of buying, shipping and registering the car here in the UK. We provide a favourites list to add vehicles you have seen and get a landed UK price for each, make notes, upload photos and keep track of the cars you have seen or are bidding on
- Improved UI – our developers have utilised HTML5 and CSS3 to bring you a faster, fresher and more usable site

All of this on top of our current system of providing instant transport costs, export costs, shipping and marine insurance costs, unloading and import cots, UK transport, IVA, SVA and MOT, DVLA and road tax pricing.
