- How long does DVLA registration take for imported vehicles?
- DVLA registration for imported vehicles can take between 2-6 weeks once all documentation is submitted, but this is not guaranteed. Processing times can vary depending on the complexity of your application and current DVLA workload.
- What is a VIN and where can I find it?
- A VIN is a unique 17-character identifier. Japanese imports may instead use a chassis number such as CV5W-0902766. You can usually find the identifier on your paperwork, dashboard, door frame or chassis plate.
- Why isn't my car showing as registered yet?
- If your vehicle isn't showing as registered, the application may still be processing, the DVLA record may not have updated yet, or there may be an issue with the submission.
