The process of getting a car to the UK and ready to drive is not a simple one and can even cause vehicle failure if performed incorrectly (in regards to the SVA test) - for the inexperienced you can find yourself paying huge sums of money unnecessarily

We can import European vehicles from the US free of the 10% UK import duty

With all SVA/MOT modifications we try to make the end result as aesthetically pleasing as possible, for example on Ford Mustangs we use EU style rear light clusters to avoid the additional lights attached to the rear bumper

We are experienced with classic cars and will ensure that you pay correct VAT and duty rates as well as making sure that any MOT modifications and number plate printing is done in a way that keeps with the look of the vehicle

Shipping

Transportation

• Collection of vehicle from UK port and delivery to SVA centre

SVA Modifications and Test

Checks performed:

Rear indicators are separate to the brake lights and the right colour (this is different to foreign cars)
Front indicators are the right colour and have repeaters on the side of the vehicle.
A red rear fog light is fitted - foreign imports often don't have these.
The correct white parking lights are present.
Headlights are pointing the right way
Tyres match the advertised top speed of the vehicle. Tyres have a code (R, S or T rating) on them which matches a theoretical top speed.
The speedometer has Kilometer as well as Mile readings.
The right brake fluid level indicator is present on the dashboard or else the reservoir is clear.
The number plate meets UK standards (correct size, shape, lettering)
Protrusion standards are met (i.e. removing long exhaust pipes, bull bars, mascots etc)

• All SVA forms filled in and dealt with promptly

• All SVA modifications are carried out to the highest of standards to ensure that there is no damage to your vehicle - SVA modifications can cause severe vehicle problems, especially with the electronics. Our SVA engineers are specially trained and have years of experience in all makes and models of imported vehicles

• SVA modifications carried out to your specification, for example we can fit euro-style rear light clusters to maintain the original look of the vehicle

• Vehicle prepared fully for SVA test

• Vehicle taken to SVA centre and certificate received

• If vehicle requires it, an MOT test is also carried out

UK DVLA Registration

• All administration included - registration number assigned, plates printed and fixed to vehicle

• 12 months road tax included

• Personalised number plates available on request

Full valet, storage and delivery

• Your vehicle is then taken to our premises to receive a complimentary full valet and apply complimentary paintwork protection

• You then have the choice of unlimited fully insured storage at our premises or a delivery service to you
